Wellness Tribe at BeWake: how 19 September 2026 went

Published on

Así fue Wellness Tribe en BeWake (19 de septiembre de 2026)

On Saturday 19 September 2026 we made something real that we had been preparing for months: a full day of sport, music, wellbeing and community at BeWake Park, next to the Canal Olímpic in Castelldefels, with every activity guided through EKKO wireless headphones. Around 158 people joined the first big edition of EKKO Wellness Tribe. Here is what happened.

The idea: one space, many experiences

The challenge was to bring very different classes together in one venue (running, yoga, training, dancing, ice baths and talks) without them getting in each other's way. With speakers it would have been impossible: the HIIT would have drowned out the meditation and the coffee rave would have spilled into the Pilates class. With headphones, each zone had its own sound and everyone heard only what they had chosen.

On arrival, each guest picked up their headphones and planned their own route. Some people did every single class; others spent the morning between brunch, the talks and the coffee rave dance floor.

The day, zone by zone

Running Club 5K

The day began at 9am with running club check-in. At 9:40 the group set off on a 5 km run with Hairo from Running Club Barcelona setting the pace and DJ Hirmonix mixing live from his bike. A way to wake the body up that has become a house signature.

Zone 1 · Wellness

Three classes to connect body and breath: Hatha Yoga with Lili Freespirit at 10:30, Pilates with Carmen Colceriu at 11:45 and Vinyasa Yoga with Eva García at 13:00.

Zone 2 · Train & Mind

The most varied block. At 11:00, HIIT Workout with Lucho Prutschi; at 12:15, The Art of Being Her, a women's circle in English led by Patrizia Schnotalla of Vibrant Retreats; and at 13:00, a salsa class with Mala.

Ice Bath & Breathwork

From 12:00 to 13:00, Stefano Bonanno, Tom and Silvana led a breathwork session followed by ice bath immersions, their voices staying with each participant through the headphones.

Coffee Rave · Main Stage

At Café de Bandidos, from 10:00 to 15:00, the dance floor never stopped: mainstream EDM with DJ Gaelle, afro house with DJ Manifest, reggaeton and Latin vibes with DJ Monkii, and a final half hour of salsa and bachata. Coffee instead of cocktails and all the energy of a night out, in the middle of the morning.

Experiences, brunch and talks

United Events set up a mechanical surf board from 11:00 to 14:00. The food area served brunch from 10:00 to 12:00 and hosted two talks: the menstrual cycle and nutrition with Mary Delberghe, and mindfulness with Agatha Kowalczuk. Anyone who wanted could also book a wakeboarding session on the BeWake cable.

What we learned

  • Headphones make incompatible activities compatible. Five zones, each with its own sound, in one space and with no interference.
  • People come for the full experience. The one-day festival format, with the freedom to move between zones, works.
  • Community comes first. The event is the excuse; what we want is for the tribe to keep meeting up.

Thank you

None of this would have been possible without the instructors and DJs, without BeWake and without the brands that joined us: Iguana, Café Bandido, Pitburgo, Coco Machete, ESN, Wellium, Running Club Barcelona, Mashup, Cooltra, Vibrant Retreats, The Brunch Club, Thunders Barcelona and United Events. And above all, without everyone who came to share the day with us.

What's next?

BeWake was the starting point. From here we want to take the format to more places around Barcelona with smaller, more frequent sessions: running club, yoga, coffee raves, padel with music and much more. See the photos and videos on the event page, follow us on Instagram and keep an eye on Luma for the next date.
