What it is
A silent disco is a party where the music does not come from speakers but from wireless headphones that everyone wears. There are usually two or three channels, each with a different DJ or style, and the colour of the light on each headset shows what that person is listening to. So on the same dance floor some people are dancing to reggaeton, others to house and others to 2000s classics.
It is EKKO's specialty and the heart of Wellness Tribe: the same technology we use in all our activities, in its most festive form. It makes parties possible where noise would be a problem, such as beaches, terraces, gardens or rooftops, and keeps the dancing going when normal music would have to stop.
Taking your headphones off in the middle of the dance floor and hearing nothing but people singing is something you never forget.
How it works
- Pick up your headphones at the entrance (with ID or a deposit, depending on the event).
- We show you how to switch channels and set the volume.
- The DJs play at the same time on different channels; each colour is a different sound.
- Dance, switch channels and join whichever crowd you like.
- At the end, hand your headphones back at the same point.
